Leaky Paywall Targeted Subscribe Messages

Use Targeted Subscribe messages to:

  1. Display a custom subscribe message (nag) for higher tier content. Use a category, tag, or post type option to target
  2. Display a custom subscribe message to all free registered readers to upgrade. Uses subscription level to target
  3. Display a custom message if a credit card fails or a subscriber has cancelled such as a 'renew' message. Uses the readers payment status to target

Configure Targeted Subscribe Message

After you install the Leaky Paywall – Targeted Subscribe Messages add-on, it is time to set the default settings. 

Note: You need to create a custom subscribe message first.

1. Go to  Leaky Paywall > Settings > General > Subscribe Messages

2. Create a message using the default WordPress block editor and publish.

3. To set the targeted subscribe messages, go back to  Leaky Paywall > Settings > General > Subscribe Messages and click the "+ Add New Message Rule" button.

4. Set rules accordingly and click the "Save Settings" button to take effect.

Note 

Make sure you set the messages at the top. Targeted messages are prioritized from the top down.

To display anywhere on your site

It is easy to add a targeted message from anywhere on your site with our shortcodes.

Simply use this format:  [leaky_paywall_subscribe_messages id="#"]

Note: Make sure the id="#" is the correct targeted message id you created in Leaky Paywall > Subscribe Messages
